Early this evening, the Corner Bookstore on the Upper East Side hosted former Dalton School teacher, now author of “Schooled”, Anisha Lakhani and her friends for a book reading and signing followed by a cocktail reception. “Schooled” is Anisha’s debut novel about a teacher in an Upper East Side private school (Dalton) who experiences a whole new meaning to “private tutoring”.
Those that attended and supported Anisha included her darling adorable mother Anjali Ahooja (who by the way secured her literary agent for her), her financier husband Mussadiq Lakhani, socialites actress Byrdie Bell, always sultry Emma Snowdon-Jones, handsome playboys Nick Dietz and Douglas Marshall,Mina-Jacqueline Au (wearing her new Rebecca Taylor top and sporting an irresistible Sang A bag), PR guru Susan Shin, Tracy Stern (with her very sexy skinny jeans and cowboy boots) … and a handful of other beautiful people that packed the room in tight.

During Anisha’s reading, not only were all the chairs in the bookstore filled, but her friends and fans both stood in the back, sat on the floor and some even on bookshelves.
