Diane Von Furstenberg And Swarovski Announce The 2009 CFDA Fashion Award Nominees

The garden rooftop at Rockefeller Center was full of all-star designers Monday night as the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced their nominees for their coveted 2009 Fashion Awards. CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg and diamond darling Nadja Swarovski hosted a cocktail party in honor of the nominees which include Marc Jacobs, Thakoon Panichgul, Kate & Laura Mulleavy for Rodarte, and Narciso Rodriguez, Vera Wang, Jason Wu, Anna Sui and many more.

More story and photos from this event below…While Marc Jacobs has already won the CFDA international Award for his work at Louis Vuitton, the rest of the winners will be announced June 15th with a special appearance by our First Lady who is being honored by the CFDA for her mark on the fashion industry. Last night, fashion top dogs including Anna Wintour, Peter Som, and Linda Fargo came out to support the nominees as they were announced by DVF, along with jeweler Philip Crangi, and designers Caroliona Herrera, and John Bartlett.
