Last night, Elie Tahari hosted an event at their West Broadway store to celebrate the Young Collectors Night at the Winter Antiques Show. Despite the cold and early start time, they really brought out the crowd. My office is right around the corner so I planned on meeting Grace Gomez Brea, Gillian Hearst Simonds and Laura Kornhauser at the event. By some miracle we all actually arrived on time. Well I was a bit late but cut the line with the always amiable Kipton Cronkite. The event was also supposed to raise money for the East Side Settlement but I seriously doubt that any purchasing was going on as the room was completely packed.

Our little group headed over to Mr. Chow downtown. The meal was amazing but one little quibble. We had 9 people in our party and 8 of us were there. Why in the world do we have to stand at the bar in a nearly empty restaurant to wait for that last person? One of those things that just irritates you after a really long evening. Anyway, once we sat all was right with the world and a great time was had by all.
