Hollywood Takes A Bite Out Of TYSON
[Mike Tyson. All photos by JIMI CELESTE for PMc] Stars, athletes, and music moguls came together last night at AMC Loews 19th Street Cinemas for a special screening of TYSON. Directed by James Toback, the film provides a gritty, intimate look at the near-Aristotelian rise and fall of one of the world's most controversial athletes. TYSON promises to present a more humbled, introspective version of the wrestler's hitherto explosive persona. More story and photos below… In attendance at the screening were Bradley Cooper, Rosie Perez, author Joyce Carol Oates, NAS, Christopher Walken, Nick Cannon, and of course the legend himself, Mike Tyson. Seconded, or else I would have changed it. Tyson's story has many of the critical elements of tragedy as laid out in the Poetics.
