Models May Not Eat But Designers Certainly Can Cook at SAKS For CFDA Launch of “American Fashion Cookbook”
[All photos by CLINT SPAULDING for PMc] Fashion and food may be an unusual combination considering the waif like standards of the industry, but leave it to the Council of Fashion Designers of America to make such a pairing faaabulous. Saks Fifth Avenue hosted the CFDA launch of “American Fashion Cookbook” where designers shared their own personal recipes for success not on the runway but in the kitchen…The book produced by Assouline highlights the CFDA’s best including Isaac Mizrahi’s Truffle Spaghetti, Carolina Herrera’s Pomme Toupinel, Mark Ecko’s “Adults Only” chocolate chip cookies, and Derek Lam’s Yellowtail Crudo to name a few…Saks held the event at their own SFA Cafe. See below for more highlights including an appearance by current President (and Queen Bee) of CFDA, Diane Von Furstenberg.
