A super chic crowd of New Yorkers made their way up the red carpet outside the W Downtown Residences on Tuesday night to join Patron and V1 Private Jets as they sponsored the launch of Gradient Magazine; a new complimentary book founded by Matt Fried, Barris Vinogradov, and Alan Vinogradovi, that chronicles new and avant-garde fashion, art, furniture, architecture, and people.
“Gradient is a movement, constantly flowing, never subsiding, perpetually pushing forward. An idealist’s articulation. A visionary. Art in the form of essence, writing in the form of life. Gradient draws influence from those who are magnanimous to the creative commonwealth and is intended for the like minded individual.”
The host committee was a perfect mix, drawing from the various worlds that Gradient pays homage to: Sabine Heller, Claw Money, Sky Nellor, Bettina Prentice, Paul Sevigny, Max Snow, Sue Stemp, Antonia Thompson, Alvin Valley and Eleanor Ylvisaker. The female host committee members were appropriately dressed in Sue Stemp, and partygoers vibed to tunes spun by DJ Scotto while sipping their custom Gradient Margaritas, Patron Cool Breezes, and Patron Perfect Cosmos.
Guests at the futuristic venue celebrated Frequency 1 of Gradient Magazine including a 6 month pregnant Chessy Wilson, nightlife impresario Eugene Remm, heiress and actress Annabel Vartanian, Marissa Anshutz, Brian Wolk and Claude Morais of Ruffian, Marc Jacob Muses' Dion OJ Bey and Great Scott McKenzie, notorious 14 year old Alex Goldberg , designer Keith Lissner, designer Abigial Lorick, famous photographer Alexis Dahan (who will be photographing Lydia Hearst for French playboy), artist David Foote, Emma Snowdon Jones, Rebecca Guinness, Karine Haimo Bulgari, trend predictor Kim Bates, model Nell Rebowe, Serena Merriman, Etta Meyer, jeweler Monique Paen and singer Virgil Price. Singer Michael Fredo (Tommy Hilfiger's nephew) was shooting the party for his new TV show---FAME IS TV, debuting in September.
The second issue will include "The Lens", a party pictures page (THANK GOD), as well as expanded fashion coverage by fashion director Alan Eckstein, exciting new photographers and contributors, and a special feature on some of the hottest downtown New Yorkers.
