Daily Style Phile: Tim Garcia May Work For Marc Jacobs, But He’s Making Chanel’s Ankle Pouch The Hottest Accessory Of The Season!
Go HERE for more GofG photos of Tim Garcia!
Tim Garcia, the head of PR for Marc Jacob’s men division got some attention from Page Six yesterday when they picked fun at his newest fashion accessory: his ankle bracelet. Apparently his friends back home in the Philippines need to keep an eye on Tim while his father, Major General Carlos F. Garcia sorts out charges of stealing $6.2 million in public funds.
A Major Plunger? More like major Bummer. This issue with the Philippines, and the little ankle bracelet they are forcing him to wear, is hardly going to keep Tim from staying up on his fashion. More story and photos below…
He has a job to do after all! No one wants to see the PR consultant for Marc Jacobs slacking off. He’s helping to make the Chanel ankle bracelet the hottest fashion accessory of the season, and everyone from PMc to GofG is taking notice….
And if you think an ankle braclet is bad, the government of the Philippines forced Tim and his entire family into a Federal Prison for 95 days to put pressure on his father. They are out on million dollar bonds and are still trying to expidite Tim!

I am sorry. But Tim is complicit in the crime. He makes me sick. Flouting fashion while his father (and he) steal funds from a struggling country should not be a source or humor nor admiration.
Tim was caught smuggling cash for his father at JFK. How fashionable is that?

The previous commenter should check their facts straight before throwing around accusations. His brothers smuggled the money, not him.

Tim’s so cool and hip. A fashionable ankle bracelet! How ingenious! I wish his dad will be acquitted of the charges. I don’t get what the big deal is– so his family stole from a country where majority live below poverty line, big deal. $6.2M (or 304M pesos) split several ways with mom and pop and everyone else isn’t much really. Is he under any moral obligation to find out why his public servant of a father’s income ballooned to such astronomic proportions? Hello, he’s a fashion PR guy. Different industry. And don’t even drag his $.75M pad into this. Whatever Tim was doing five years ago must have been enough to pay for it. I’m glad someone’s not taking this seriously and has parlayed it to something the fashion world claps over. Classy! Way to go!

I agree with carlos celdran. “timbo”, you should undertstand that brothers, mothers, fathers…WHATEVER the case may be, this kid benefited from the crime KNOWINGLY. He is NOT innocent. Fangirl, are you 15 years old?? Classy? Shame on you honey. I hope years from now when you build integrity, character and substantial inner-depth (which may not happen as your ignorant writings prove) you become embarrassed of your child-like rantings about a serious subject about dishonesty and a nation of people.

The fashion community are so wonderful, embracing one of their own. Isn’t it so cute, so fashionable! He wears the CHANEL ankle bracelet for criminals! Apparently living in an apartment bought with money stolen from people outside the States, and throwing around money that was stolen from the Filipino people, is something to be overlooked. It doesn’t matter to us, he’s so cute and funnn! Who cares about dirty Marcos and Garcia money? It’s not like it was stolen from Americans (like the Syrian Jewish scandal in Brooklyn and New Jersey). Gosh, I guess Tim Garcia is just a poor VICTIM.

el, meet Sarchasm. Sarchasm, this is el.
fan girl. It’ spelled Sarcasm.
Oh my god. What the hell is wrong with you? If you are going to try to write bitchy comments. Learn how to spell first.
Tim Garcia should learn this thing called “Delicadeza” and keep his profile low till his family’s name is cleared. Which I doubt will happen.
Shame on Marc Jacobs for not reining him in either and putting him in the back room till this all blows over. Having a member of a family of thieves be your PR man is really not a good look.
Oh wait. You were being sarcastic. Oh my god.
Haha. So sorry about that fangirl..
But either way, um… it is still spelled sarcasm. No H.
Cheers

Carlos, nope, def meant the version with the H.

fangirl, the pad Tim is living in, it belongs to his father and not him! Same with all the properties they have in the states! My God! How stupid can you be? And, if you’re not close with the family, better not to react on things you don’t know and don’t understand.
September 13, 2009 6:13am
Calm down guys. I think the article itself is being sarcastic. And was written to make us feel angry and to diss off this Tim Garcia. Fangirl, nice try at being sarcastic but SSilver made a better attempt at it. Tim, enjoy your fancy clothes while you still can because I heard those orange jumpsuits don’t match your complexion. How sad for you.

This guy should be extradited back to the Philippines and let him rot in jail where he and the rest of his family belongs!
Fangirl—I wonder how tiny your brain is! Stupid girl defending a thief because “$6.2M (or 304M pesos) split several ways with mom and pop and everyone else isn’t much really” WHAT A DUMB DUMB GIRL! Shame on you dumbo!
September 14, 2009 11:23am
Hey David Celdran could you stop acting smart? Read this definition of sarchasm
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sarchasm
Dumbass.
September 15, 2009 4:06am
Oh my God. The ignorance of some people appall me. This Tim Garcia is benefiting from millions of dollars stolen from the Philippine government that should have gone to soldiers fighting terrorists in Mindanao. People who symphatize with this shameless guy named Tim Garcia should be ashamed of themselves for siding with someone who benefited from stolen money. LOL. Some of you even had the gall to be “sad” for this moron. You should be sad for the poor and hungry people his family stole money from.
September 15, 2009 6:37am
This sack of excrement and his family were not sent to jail to pressure his criminal father. They were arrested because they were all in on the thieving scheme.
Tim Garcia, good men have died just so you can enjoy the good life courtesy of the money your family stole from the Filipino people. May you and your entire family rot in hell. You damned piece of shit!!!
September 16, 2009 8:37pm
fangirl is probably one of those lackey bitches who tug around gayboys in appreciation of trying to be some wannabe. get a life fangirl and if you’re anything like timmy girl there, you should probably just pull a trigger i your mouth coz you’ve got no right to live gurhhllll….
September 19, 2009 3:55pm
@ fangirl You’re obviously a stupid person with no morals. I feel pity for your parents who did not raise someone with integrity and character.
@Manay Turon Don’t go calling anyone dumbass when your source is a dumbass website itself. Urban dictionary is not called urban dictionary for no reason. Try searching other words there.. Haven’t you heard there’s already this book called Webster?
Tim Garcia’s family stole from the Philippine military where men work hard to protect and serve for their country. Whoever may have stolen the money is not the case, whether its his dad, mom or siblings. He’s actually living his ostentatious life on stolen money or aptly called “ill-gotten wealth”.
September 22, 2009 9:54am
disgusting!..they still act as if they are innocent!..they stole money from the filipino people!..they had everything they want because of the “people’s money” not their own money. such a shame…i hope they stop living the glamorous life they are used to because its so embarassing!..but i guess tim wouldnt do that…he will be ashamed with his peers..ofcourse! such a shame.even if he work’s his ass off at marc jacobs,he would still be the kid who stole money from the filipino people.
September 23, 2009 8:48pm
I guess the take away here is its very fashionable to steal a ton of money from thousands of hungry kids, get caught, and still wear a Chanel ankle pouch. Now, how big a deal is that? (If they don’t get this, they never will).
September 27, 2009 12:35pm
I live in NYC, and I see this trying hard wannabee around town. Yes, he seems proud of who he is, and where his money comes from. A couple of years ago, I was shopping in this store I frequent. The sales associate asked me where I was from. So I told him that I was from the Manila. Then he told me that the store also has a regular customer named Tim Garcia from Manila .He was even bragging to the associate that his father is being charged for plunder back home. Beat this, he even showed him the news clippings! I guess “crass” is an understatement to describe this piece of shit. Oh yeah, he also tells his friends, that it is his daddy’s money anyway.

Hey Manuel Tenangco, I know why it is called Urban Dictionary dumbass. Those are coined words that became part of contemporary language you nincompoop. And I called Carlos Celdran by the name David Celdran (Battle of the Brains host) because I was being sarcastic (David having brains, Carlos having no brains)
