From our tip box: Holy Moly! Just when we thought it'd be YEARS before we'd see another club opening up in this recession, we finally get the full story about PM's resurrection in Meatpacking (50 Gansevort), a rumor we've been hearing for weeks. It's happening. And here's what we know:
Name: Set to be called "Griffin"
Team: Owners Adam Hock (on PM's lease and also of Hawaiin Tropic Zone Fame) and Chris Reda (owner of Room Service and Cheetah).
Director of VIP Services: Rachel Uchitel (Pink Elephant, Dune)
Pavan Parnasani- somehow involved (he's also working with 1Oak guys and Pink)
With the Saturday brunches breathing life back into the Meatpacking District, it will be interesting to see what Griffin can do to the post 7pm life down in the cobblestone shitshow.
Update: Other partners include Steve Davidovici and Manny Delzar. Josh Kasier is Director of Operations, Cocktail program is from people behind Milk & Honey/Little Branch, and apparently Pavan Parnasani has no involvement.

A great thing about this transformation is that the club hired a nontoxic painter to paint the interior of the club a beautiful smoky color with gold inlay. This will protect party people from harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) which are harmful to the painters, patrons, bartenders and Planet!!! Check out http://strongriver.net/

Rachel also seems to know how to operate RSVP cards, since she has been invited, confirmed her attendance and showed at nearly every event, charity benefit and function of any importance in recent months while she wasn't employed. Now that she is attached to a project she probably won't have much trouble attracting people that matter to the new spot since people pay attention to her LIP service. Previous poster as "no comment" clearly had a comment, and never learned the virtue "if you have nothing nice to say--say nothing at all."
