There have been some ramblings around blogland that the new and improved Webster Hall has become racist! There is even a facebook group trying to boycott the place.
“Webster Hall is Racist. but worst of all were the Black bouncers explaining why and defending such blatant racism. We also overheard one of the white men at the entrance say “They’re too dark…” Several Black & hispanic clubgoers left upset, and completely aware of the racial discrimination being exhibited by this establishment.”
So…can it be that true? (The group does have 159 members). We went to the king of nightlife photography, Nicky Digital to do some research. And, well the proof is in the pudding as they say. In order to showcase how UN-racist the night club is, we are forced to pick out some of the several minority examples on his site from Webster Hall parties last week:

I also want to point out that these “minority” photos represent at least half IF NOT MORE of the photos posted by Nicky Digital from Webster Hall so it’s hardly unfair sampling. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself. Oh, and Nicky Digital is white.

Is def race. Cuz ppl should be free to represent themself anyway they want. I’m sure its not because they were dressed like a thug cuz I’ve been to many a clubs where there are black guys who look decent, but would prob be their definition of thuggish. They prob want a certain kind of atmosphere in there and hih hop isn’t one of them!

I have been going to websterhall for many years,and never encounter any racism, am Spanish and when they take my ticket they always say have a great time, just to note , they have a hip hop room and a Latin room and its always full of Spanish and black people, maybe its how you portray your self in the line out side the club, because I see the door people walking the line and if you and not dressed properly they ask you to leave the line, also, if you are acting loudly or crazy they will tell you that you wont get in, websterhall is great club to party and have fun, i know i have some great nights there,
