This was taken in the room upstairs at the Gramercy Hotel last night (the one on the left off elevators). We like the lights. A lot. Don’t know who came up with it and it was probably a pain in the ass to install of of them, but the effect is dramatical and sexy.

I think I miss the pre-Schrager Gramercy Hotel bars too much to ever set foot in the new one. They just has such a perfect, rundown hotel bar vibe. Surly waitresses who looked like they’d just got off work at some sleazy strip club; drinks that were always too strong; and it obviously hadn’t been redecorated since the first Bush presidency (at least).
