The day a mother lets her young pick out his or her own outfit for the first time is a huge milestone in a child's life. For me, it meant wearing pink rhinestone cowboy boots with ruffle socks and a sequin purse as casual day-wear for nursery school. My mother had to pick her battles with me and this was not one worth fighting. But for many of Hollywood's tots, whether they inherited their famous mommies' good fashion sense or are more open to her input on wardrobe choices, their style game is on point. So, in the spirit of Mother's Day, here's a roundup of our favorite fashionable celebrity moms and their stylish little ones, plus some who are all grown up and following in mom's famously chic footsteps.

The relationship of a mother and her children is one of the strongest, most sacred, and beautiful of human dynamics. It can also be one of the most explosive, with both mothers' and children's unique ability to completely and rapidly incense the other over almost nothing. And no matter how crazy you may make each other or how much her unrelenting nagging wears on you, Mother's Day prompts us think about how fortunate we are to have such a source of unconditional love in our lives. However, we understand a Hallmark holiday might not inspire such pensive reflection and appreciation, so perhaps this collection of the most cringe-inducing, awkward and downright uncomfortable photos of mothers with their children will. Remember, any of these could have been you. Happy Mother's Day, indeed. More>>

With his first-ever Collective Design Fair, Collective .1, Steven Learner is making design more accessible to a new generation of design enthusiasts. In a space traditionally reserved for antique-based design, Collective .1 focuses exclusively on 20th and 21st century works. In Learner's words, this is "everyone should have the opportunity to have good design...I don’t think this inclusivity exists at other design fairs." Read on to find out more about how Learner is changing the design space, one fair at a time. Make sure to check out the fair now through May 11th.
