According to nightlife photog Steven Ekerovich After the crash of 1987. (Steve Lewis has also claimed this over the last few weeks). Why? Because as Steven points out people are out and about trying to drown their sorrows, things become cheaper, more diverse, and people are forced to become creative. Expensive bottles aren't going to cut it anymore. So at least we have something to look forward too...the downside? Hamptons nightlife in downturns tends to be pretty bad (assuming you liked it to begin with).
