Reading the NYT article this morning on Parisians' new obsession with burgers has got me a) drooling, and b) wondering where's best round here to do something about it.
I know Rachelle loves the Surf Lodge's egg-topped version, and The Palm does a fantastic broiled sirloin one, but I figure, as burgers are the consumate summer food and the Hamptons are, right now at least, a consumate summer getaway, that there must be myriad other options. I'm not so interested in the haute burger -the city has those in abundance. What I'm looking for is simplicity and highest quality ingredients, cooked medium rare. Suggestions?
