    Slovenia: The Lasko Brewery opened in Slovenia in 1825, and is said to account for at least 60% of the Slovenian beer market.

    Where to Drink it in NYC: Milan's Restaurant, Brooklyn

    England: Newcastle Brown Ale. Annoyingly, the beer is technically owned by Heineken, but it's still brewed at the Tyne Brewery in Newcastle, and is definitely one of the most easily available British beers in the US.

    Where to drink in NYC: Drink it on tap at Fiddlesticks Bar and Grill, or at The Atlantic Chipshop in Brooklyn.

    Australia: Matilda Bay Redback. Apparently, Foster's, the beer we all associate with Australia, actually isn't that popular down under. Instead, Aussie's prefer Redback, which is named after an Australian spider (and owned by the Foster's Group).

    Serbia: Jelen Pivo is probably the best known beer from Serbia and Montenegro, and is a sponsor of the Serbian national football team.

    Ghana: Star Lager, the most popular beer in Ghana, is actually brewed by Guinness Ghana in Kumasi.

    Paraguay: Dorada Pilsen, which is brewed in a random German enclave in Paraguay. (Hmmm...German enclave in South America....)
