Sunday's Oscars marks the grand finale to nearly two months of Hollywood congratulating itself with dry awards ceremonies, feigned breathless Anne Hathaway speeches that bring new meaning to annoying and insufferable, and celebrities stepping out in glamorous designer fashions. Though we could certainly go on peacefully for the remainder of our natural born lives without another awards show, we are very much looking forward to seeing what the stars will being wearing as they sashay down the red carpet on Hollywood's biggest night. So, as part of our countdown to the 85th Annual Academy Awards, let's take a walk down the best part of memory lane with our 25 favorite Oscar looks from the past five years...

You know how when you're a kid, you always want to sit with the grown-ups at the big table, but then when you get there you realize that the kids' table was more fun to begin with? That's kind of the deal with the Oscars after party scene, also. Sure, it's a great honor to get invited to the show and the subsequent "Governor's Ball," but there's a reason why the Academy finally scuttled the sit-down dinner element of the Ball for a more streamlined cocktail-party this year: because people kept leaving early to go to all the other parties, including the perpetually star-studded Vanity Fair gala at the Sunset Tower. It's a simple fact that there just aren't enough seats in the Kodak Hollywood & Highland Center to accommodate our nation's massive influx of newly-minted celebrities. I'm sure there was a time where it seemed like every famous face in the world could fit into one theater, but now that you can become an international superstar just by co-starring in Ray J's sex tape, Hollywood's idle rich face a chilling awards-show seating crisis. Luckily, the solution lies, as usual, with magical piano wizard Elton John, who upgraded the size and scale of the 20th incarnation of his annual Oscar viewing party, and raised over $5 million for charity as a result. Let's take a look... More»

Congratulations everyone, we have made it though another awards season in one piece and can begin the healing process. I'd just like to say kudos to Billy Crystal for keeping last night's ceremony moving and doing his best to make it as painless as one can for the invariably boring ordeal. Last night's winners were somewhat expected and, frankly, I really don't think I could care less. So let's get to the part that actually matters: what everyone wore. Without further ado, we bring you our picks for the best and worst dressed of the red carpet at the 2012 Oscars. More»
Thanks to Billy Crystal and an Academy comprised of old, humorless, white men, the Oscars was a night where the microphone feedback was far louder than the laughs. But have no fear, Twitter saved the day, boasting not only new accounts from Angelina Jolie's right leg and JLo's nipple, but a semi-offical #tweetroast by funnier comedians lambasting Tinseltown's favorite PR campaign. Here are some humorous highlights. More»
The most highly anticipated Red Carpet event of the year, the 84th Annual Academy Awards did not disappoint. From bold color to metallics, bright white and mint - the stars were dressed in some of the season's hottest trends. We've all heard by now that Billy Crystal will take over the Oscar hosting duties of Eddie Murphy, but we got to thinking - he's already hosted eight times, he's not getting any younger, and he's obviously the easy choice. If we had it our way, we would seriously reconsider the following hosts... More»
