Last Night, The Cinema Society and Calvin Klein Collection hosted a screening of "The Hunger Games" at The Top of the Standard. The stars of the movie, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Isabelle Fuhrman, as well as director Gary Ross, producers Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik, executive producer Robin Bissell and co-producer Bryan Unkeless attended the screening. Have you ever lived in Florida? I have, and man, is that place weird. Granted, I lived in Miami, which is weird in its own unique way (think of the fictional Latin American island in The Expendables, and then add more gunfire), but Florida in general is a swampy wasteland of Confederate flag trailer hitches, bugs the size of iPhones, and, of course, Spring Breakers acting so horrible that it kind of makes me agree with Rick Santorum on the whole "not everyone should go to college" thing. A debaucherous, movie-style college Spring Break is a lot like going to In-N-Out alone: on the one hand, it's a completely shameful activity that will invariably produce regret and self-loathing down the line, but it sure is satisfying at the time. Congratulations to the cast of The Help, which bagged Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Ensemble Cast last night at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, the boozy step-daughter of the Academy. Since the SAG comprises 22% of the Academy Awards vote, this could also bode well for the film in scoring a few Oscars.  A complete list of winners (Betty White! Alec Baldwin! Are you guys sick of awards season yet? Well, that's irrelevant since Hollywood has only just begun the annual ceremonious patting of itself on the back with more lavish red carpet events and mini statues than we care to try and count, with the first really major one held last night at the Beverly Hilton. Legendary spaceman Buzz Aldrin was spotted at the Transformers 3 Premiere in NYC last night, sporting some serious moon rocks on his wrist. What he was not sporting was his wife Lois of the last 13 years, third overall, with whom he recently filed for divorce. Now, as that rare breed of celebrity who actually got famous for accomplishing something incredible, like walking on the freaking moon, Buzz was getting a little more leeway from me than, say, Khloe Kardashian. Nevertheless, there comes a time when we have to face hard truths, and there's perhaps nothing more difficult than admitting that Edwin Eugene Aldrin, Jr., USAF Colonel, the second man to walk on the moon, miiiiiiiight be a huge creeper.
