In other music news, a surprisingly strong lineup for Fuck Yeah Fest 2013 was revealed today and we are very excited by the collection of artists set to play this year. On August 24th and 25th, FYF Fest will take over L.A. State Historic Park for a full weekend of live music as the sun beats down mercilessly on Downtown L.A. with the Yeah Yeahs Yeah headlining Saturday, and shoegaze heroes My Bloody Valentine as Sunday's main event. Loads of other fantastic artists like Devendra Banhart, Solange, TV on the Radio, Toro y Moi, MGMT and Beach House are taking the FYF Fest stage, keep reading to see them all on the complete lineup. Although The Rolling Stones are not playing this year like we all thought, and were quite perturbed by the headliner choices once the lineup was revealed, there are plenty of other Coachella 2013 performers we are very stoked about on the bill. Here are the Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 artists we're most excited to see take the stage this weekend at Coachella. More»

Now that the rumor mill has mercifully come to a screeching halt with the release of the Coachella 2013 lineup, it's time to stop talking hypotheticals and holograms and discuss the living, breathing artists set play this year. Like many who were under the impression The Rolling Stones were playing, our jaws are still halfway to the floor in utter confusion by the headliner choices (uh, the Stone Roses? Someone lost a bet. That's the only way that makes sense.). Despite that highly perturbing part of the bill, there are plenty of other performers we are very stoked about on the lineup. Following last week's selection of Day 1 and Day 2 artists, here are the Day 3 artists we're most excited to see on Sunday, April 14th and 21st at Coachella 2013.

Yesterday Brazilian sunglasses and watch brand Chilli Beans opened its brand new Hollywood flagship and largest store yet with a day-to-night grand opening celebration. Between the music, giveaways, giant sunglasses installation along the Walk of Fame and live performances, Chilli Beans certainly proved it can make an exciting entrance, even in the middle of the busiest area in Hollywood.
TODAY, Tuesday, October 30th, uber-cool sunglasses and watch brand Chilli Beans opens their L.A. flagship and wants you to come help celebrate the launch of this new Hollywood & Highland store, their biggest location yet. This all-day party will feature tons of music, including DJ sets by Ariel Pink & Dirty Dave and giveaways of shades and other goodies throughout the day. More»
We know that L.A. starts to feel like a ghost town on a holiday weekend, but with a Goldenvoice-revamped 2-day FYF Fest kicking off on Saturday, the smartest kids might be the ones staying in town for Labor Day. And even if you're staying home to save dough, you deserve to see M83, Sleigh Bells, Dinosaur Jr. and the like just as much as anyone. Luckily for you, we've teamed up with our friends at Chilli Beans Sunglasses and Goldenvoice to give you a shot to win tickets, including a VIP prize package including free Chilli Beans sunglasses! We've long been fans of the FYF Fest, dating back to the days when the alternative and indie rock themed festival had less corporate sponsorship to worry about and cheerfully printed the "F**k Yeah!" now implied in the name on their official tickets and banners. While we're general supporters of open profanity, the perfectly acceptable tradeoff in recent years has been the rapid expansion and improvement of the lineup, which last year featured beloved acts like Guided By Voices. But FYF organizers (which include co-sponsors like Goldenvoice) are clearly not yet satisfied, and they've proven it with an M83-led 2012 lineup, just announced this morning, that we feel safe saying is the best yet. All the details after the jump! More»
