[Charlotte Muhl and Sean Lennon play dress up] Ever have one of those moments when you look around and you realize everyone in the room has a famous mom or dad? And you’re just that girl wearing scraps of fur and leather, in an outfit that resembles an extras costume from “Where The Wild Things Are” (and not necessarily in a good way)? No? Well, that’s pretty much what happened at Sean Lennon’s Halloween Party this past Saturday, where everyone was celebrating his release of his score “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead.” More»

“So, let me ask the most important question of the night: how do they look?!” Thus began Hoda Kotb, kicking off this year’s Pink Agenda Gala by reminding guests that not only is she a breast cancer survivor, but that ‘the girls’ are looking pretty damn good. More»

Amongst bellinis and a big screen displaying Kelly Rutherford and Brittany Snow at the Tribeca Grand Hotel last night, Abigail Lorick sat in a dress of her own design. The designer and stylist has skyrocketed to fame in the past year, after becoming a costume designer for everyone’s favorite show (ok, obsession, and it’s not just because of Chuck): Gossip Girl. If you’ve ever coveted Blair’s mom’s frocks, you were really wishing for a LORICK dress. More story and photos below… More»

Abigail Lorick took some time out from designing her label to help us plan our hat party for Mimi Weddell (it’s going to be on Dec 2nd!) She looked lovely while tickling the ivories at the Historic Algonquin Hotel, home to the infamous Round Table that will be helping us host the event. Lorick always looks graceful and full of class, even after arriving home from India earlier in the day. We all can’t wait to celebrate with Mimi Weddell

Check out Mimi Weddell in one of Lorick’s latest designs below:

You know you’ve made it when you have models LINING up to be part of your fashion show in which they will be required to binge….ON CAKE no less!  Abigail Lorick is the real life designer behind Eleanor Waldorf’s line on Gossip Girl and was recently featured in the German issue of VOGUE and I couldn’t resist recycling the gorgeous photos from her fall ‘08 presentation. You really can have your cake and eat it too….and this one looks good enough to throw away that $2k Belvedere bottle for.

After the opening of Anonymous Gallery, the party continued to The Randolph. There guests were supplied with loot set up by the Kiehl’s Lounge as well as Spread Magazine.

Barterhouse also sponsored some of the cheer that evening. Music was by the DJ Cat Pierce and the guests included Abigal Lorick, Catherine Fulmer, Celeste Greenberg, Liam Alexander, Lizzie Fortunato, and Timo Weiland among many others enjoying the night.

Abigail Lorick

We were the first to introduce adorable Abigail Lorick to you last fall.  She was our first interview (as we were hers) and now, she is dressing the stars on the hottest television show of our time.  Abigail herself embodies every characteristic that she has set for a “Lorick Lady”:

“The Lorick Lady silently speaks stories of Classical and Contemporary charm.”

Ms. Lorick is graceful, classy, and refined, yet has a touch of eccentricity about her which makes her truly charming.  Abigail pulls off a tousled up-do sans makeup (save mascara) better than anyone I know.  For the young refined gentleman she is, I imagine, exactly the sort of girl you would want to bump into on your bicycle outside a cafe in the West Village.  She is adorable yet seductive, a combo that takes some talent to perfect.

abigail lorickAbigail Lorick gave her first interview to us back in October. She, coincidentally, was our first as well:

We can smell a good thing from miles away, and lately, we’ve been sniffing out newcomer designer Abigail Lorick. Former Ford model and designer for T.S. Dixin, this southern belle is (mark our words) “the next big thing”.

The NEXT BIG THING is here. Since that interview, Abigail’s line has grown from a couple of pieces to a well respected line. She is one of the hottest new designers this fall, both in real life, and on Television. Abigail’s line is the “it” line on the “it” TV show Gossip Girl. Her first fashion show was a hit. The one on September 4th proves to be even bigger as the cast from the show is set to attend. Abigail breaks the mold as far as “hot fashion designers” go. She is genuine, pleasant and graceful; always embodying a true “Lorick Lady‘.
