The Wednesday night party at Above Allen (at Thompson Hotel) is one of our current favorites. Hosted by Janelle Lee and Sean Tao, this week’s special host Celeste Greenberg drew a crowd not to be competed with (including Flaunt Magazine’s Elliot David, and Johnny Famous among others). Resident DJ Neil Aline was joined by Katia Tallarico (Happy Birthday, btw).

Curious to see what this whole members-only terrace bar “Above Allen” in the Thompson Hotel is all about? Well, we sent JT to check in on the scene last night. Steve Lewis was DJ, with Neil Aline. The party was hosted by Janelle Lee, Sean Tao & Friends. The party was the perfect mix of mellow crowd, and classic rock & roll. If you are looking for a chill place to lounge around at tables sans promoters with an amazing view of the LES Skyline, Above Allen on Wednesday nights is your party.

New York City fashionistas escaped to the Thompson Hotel’s exclusive roof top getaway, Above Allen, Tuesday night for the launch of Susan Woo’s Fall 2009 collection. Guests including Olivia Palermo and her Valentine Johannes Huebl, Daniel Benedict, Mickey Boardman, Andrew Saffir, Irina Pantaeve, Ashley Lloret, and Kate Schelter attended the launch party to “ooh and ahh” over Susan Woo’s luxuriously classic designs.

New York City’s downtown hotel, Thompson LES, might be home to new hot spot Shang, but it’s also home to exclusive rooftop lounge, Above Allen, who hosted their very own New Year’s Eve party. Good times, bubbly, and noise makers were had by all. Guests included Ashley Ciccarelli, Bonnie Awesu, Maria Vu, Max McGarr, and John Aksoy. We wonder how many partyers crashed in one of the hotel’s surprisingly inexpensive suites afterward?
