During the past 6 months, the adidas Originals label has licensed iconic Star Wars characters for its Spring/Summer range. While it may be debatable the merits of releasing these joint initiatives now. i.e. why?! adidas have released an AWESOME new video just in time for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, based on the classic Star Wars Cantina scene. Well not exactly, but Snoop was definitely feeling the love for Vader and his pack of stormtroopers yesterday. What was the cause of this heralded meeting you ask? An Imperial March! More»

[Skateboarding inside house. No big deal. Photos via The Cobrasnake] After checking out the 100 things to try in L.A. before you die, I was inspired to check out The Cobrasnake. This party is the one I found. Titled "Wildnight" it looks more fun than any single party I've been to in NY (or ever). I have a little West coast envy today.  Thank god we are heading to La Esquina for lunch right now. That will take care of that feeling pretty quickly. Back to the party. It was another Adidas house party-officially the hippest sneaker of '09. Oh, and if you thought Brooklyn bred hipsters...check out their west coast counterparts!

Adidas has been making sneakers for 60 years and, after the success of their "60 years of soles and stripes" parties this past March, have decided to continue on with the celebration, inviting fans to "Celebrate Originality" with cupcakes, balloons, and sneakers. The "mission" of these Adidas house parties can be found on their Facebook Page. More photos below... More»

The Cobrasnake has seen some pretty ridiculous sneaker parties, but the latest "Adidas Animals" batch takes the cake. Balloons, a fully stacked Belvedere IX Bar and some of his most fashion forward friends were involved. Just looking at the photos makes you cooler...

[The phenomenal hand clap band. BILLY FARRELL for PMc]

The 60 years that adidas has had so far have been full of success for a sneaker company that prides itself on its signature 3-stripe mark. Last night a party was held to showcase the new spring/summer 2009 Original collection. Celebrating 60 Years of Soles & Stripes went off in Brooklyn, in a two-floor installation that was built to look like a house for a 'house' party setting. This was another definite success for adidas as the night was filled with fun, smiles, break dancing, gift-bags and inspiration. Guests included The Phenominal Handclap Band who performed, Adrian Grenier, Le Call, Nicholas Kratochvil, Clint Spaulding, and other hot (under 60 years of age) party goers.
