Last night, Tommy Hilfiger and The Cinema Society threw a party for the new movie “Precious” at the Crosby Street Hotel. This indie flick about an illiterate, overweight Harlem woman certainly has an unexpected fanbase in the hearts of New York Cities rich and fashionable elite. Among those who showed up for the screening and afterparty were Agyness Deyn, Amy Sacco, Carol Alt, Carson Kressley, Fern Mallis, General Colin Powell, Iman, Johannes Huebl and Olivia Palermo, newly-engaged Mamie Gummer, Patrick Demarchelier, Neel Shah, Quincy Jones, Rebecca Guinness, Terrence Howard, Sandra Bernhard, Fabiola Beracasa, Kyra Sedgwick, Alexandra Richards Lee Daniels and Gabourey Sidibe. Agyness Deyn, Glenda Bailey, Betsey Johnson, Christian Siriano, Lady GaGa, Mickey Boardman, Molly Sims, Diane von Furstenberg, Lorenzo Martone and Marc Jacobs (wearing his signature kilt) dined while this year’s honorees accepted distinction.

After some lovely ladies jumped to the other side of the pond for London Fashion Week, they also found their way to the Burberry show’s afterparty at the Horseferry House. Creative Director Christopher Bailey celebrated with brand face Emma Watson, as well as Mario Testino, Harvey Weinstein, Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung and Agyness Deyn. The last two ladies took a turn at the DJ booth, between band sets by the Kooks. This looks so fun. If our feet didn’t still hurt, we might actually feel a little nostalgia for our own tent time. They’ve all moved to New York for one reason or another, but Emma Watson, Agyness Deyn, and Alexa Chung are all home for London Fashion Week. Agyness and Alexa we can understand, but Emma? The freshman at Brown University claims to want an “American college experience”, but we’re pretty sure she’s the only Brown student who flew to London for the Burberry Show.
