Fans swarmed to Yankee Stadium last night for the second round of the World Series, hoping for a better outcome than the first disastrous game. Luckily, the yanks came through, and New York won the game 3-1. Was it John Legend singing the National Anthem that made the difference? Jay-Z and Alicia Keys‘ half-time performance? Kate Hudson’s continued support? Lack of rain? Whatever it was, hope they keep it up for game 3!

We don’t pretend to be experts about what constitutes a “most stylish” individual, but we’re pretty sure a coke peddling, cyber-sex loving star of the Real Housewives of NJ isn’t a great representation. But that’s just us. Aaaanyway, Us Weekly gathered their selections to accept the title last night at Avenue, among them some true depictions of the honor. So who made the list? Click for the rollcall below..some of the answers may surprise you… More»

[All photos by CHANCE YEH for PMc]. Serena Williams bounced back like a tennis ball after her outburst at the US Open on Saturday. Last night she mingled with Mary J.Blige, Alicia Keys, Donald Trump, Devon Aoki, Leigh Lezark, Mark Ronson and LeBron James, and as far as we know, she didn’t threaten to kill a-one of them! In fact, Serena seemed to be in a great mood all night, chatting and joking with The Donald, and proving that winning isn’t everything. More story and photos below… More»

If you think Fashion Week is creating a madhouse in New York City, than it was only a precursor to what the Big Apple would see once the VMA’s hit up the town last night. The MTV awards ceremony is always known for it’s over-the-top performances but when you have Lady Gaga covered in blood (and lace), Pink swinging from the rafters (literally), Jay-Z and Alicia Keys collaborating, and a Michael Jackson tribute that’ll be one for the history books, there’s a need for all the celebs to hit the town afterwards (and hit the town they certainly did). Is there anyone more worthy of celebration than Nelson Mandela? Bill Clinton doesn’t seem to think so. The former President hosted a star-studded auction and gala dinner in honor of the first Mandela Day and Mandela’s 91st birthday at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central. Graca Machel,  Mandela’s wife, attended the celebration, as did Alicia Keys, Russell Simmons, Josh Groban, Keisha Whitaker, Karolina Kurkova and Fern Mallis. Also in attendance was everybody’s favorite crush from the 1950s, Harry Belafonte, and Morgan Freeman, who, perhaps wisely, attended without his step Grand daughter/fiancee. The event culminated in a Christie’s auction, which raised funds for The Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Those walking the red carpet boasted serious star power, including Beyonce, Kanye, Tyra Banks, Alicia Keys, Tyrese Gibson, Wyclef Jean and many more. After Lil’ Wayne’s performance made some squirm in their seats as it pushed the limits on appropriate, guests were more than ready to lighten things up with the “House of Vinyl” after party. More»
