Last night, the hottest room in the city played host to its hottest guests. The Boom Boom Room was booming last night. It was (yet another) celebration of the DVD release of VALENTINO: The Last Emperor, but let’s be honest, it was really just a chance to dance next to Madonna. Tommy Hilfiger recently added another address to his long list of retail locations opening his largest global flagship store taking it back to where it all began when he launched the brand in New York City over 20 years ago. 681 Fifth Avenue is now home to Tommy and his denim blues with the opening of the high-end location where the designer joined his friends and family Thursday night for the momentous occasion. It was a theme to serve as a throwback to the Roman Empire day’s from the food to the decor. The party, series two of the Civetta’s Ceva Nights, was held in the wine cellar of Ristorante Primavera decorated in red and yellow the colors of Rome and a wonderful crowd enjoying wine and Roman cuisine. Typical dishes such as fava beans and pecorino and Roman style artichokes to start, followed by homemade gnocchi gratinata and rigatoni amatricianna. More »

This was Alexander’s first musical performance, in which he performed tracks from his upcoming album, which is in the works. On Wednesday evening Tommy Hilfiger got back to his roots, “If it wasn’t for rock and roll I would have never been a designer” and partied hard for the launch of his Rock Scene Collection in collaboration with Marky Ramone and Paper Magazine. At the Soho Denim NYC store guests like daughter and social Ally Hilfiger, Russell Simmons, Alexandra Alexis, Adrien Field, Paul Guevara, Tina Parol, Audrey Quock, Julie Henderson, took his message to heart with a ton of cocktails and a live performance from Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg.
