[All photos by BILLY FARRELL for PMc].

Last night, Tommy Hilfiger and The Cinema Society threw a party for the new movie “Precious” at the Crosby Street Hotel. This indie flick about an illiterate, overweight Harlem woman certainly has an unexpected fanbase in the hearts of New York Cities rich and fashionable elite. Among those who showed up for the screening and afterparty were Agyness Deyn, Amy Sacco, Carol Alt, Carson Kressley, Fern Mallis, General Colin Powell, Iman, Johannes Huebl and Olivia Palermo, newly-engaged Mamie Gummer, Patrick Demarchelier, Neel Shah, Quincy Jones, Rebecca Guinness, Terrence Howard, Sandra Bernhard, Fabiola Beracasa, Kyra Sedgwick, Alexandra Richards Lee Daniels and Gabourey Sidibe. Anthony Martignetti Steals Amy Sacco’s Doorman, Broome St. Welcomes Chelsea’s Famous “Disco”

[Disco mans the door at Bungalow 8] Last fall, when Southside first opened, we wondered if Anthony Martignetti’s newest role was channeling Amy Sacco. After giving the basement of his Center and Broome St. “Bar Martignetti’s” from “Bellas” into “Southside” we noticed quite a few similarities from another hotspot…Bungalow 8.First Anthony swiped Amy’s palm trees and black tiles. Now he’s stealing her doorman, Disco. Sacco’s Bungalow 8, rumored to be closed last week but actually just renovating, has lent its imposing gatekeeper to Martignetti’s Harvard-friendly SoHo lounge.

Attack Of The TV Stars For Cinema Society’s Private Screening Of “The Invention Of Lying” At The Tribeca Grand

[All photos by BILLY FARRELL for PMc]

The Cinema Society hosted a private screening of the film The Invention of Lying co-directed by Ricky Gervais and Matthew Robinson Wednesday night and while the flick’s stars seemed to have other things to do, there were plenty of television stars in attendance to make up for it, including 90s golden couple (and TV Star royalty as far as we’re concerned) Zach Morris and Kelly Kapowski a.k.a. Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen. Other TV stars in attendance included Justin Kirk, Katherine McPhee, Hillary Duff, Kathy Griffin, and James LiptonMore »

When Times Are Tough, Go To Pink With Sacco, Le 55 And LiLo

Delfina Figueras, Amy SaccoSaturday’s Beach Blanket Bungalow at Pink Southampton was apparently a misery loves company meeting spot. Amy Sacco was looking for ideas for her quickly dwindling reality show. Daniel Koch was there checking out the competition. His Day & Night Brunch party has had to battle one of the rainiest summers in recent history coupled with it’s location’s bankruptcy. And then there’s LiLo. Broken up, back together; Dadio knee deep in a totally weird bromance. Drunk. Sober. We can barely keep track.

Where Will Amy Sacco’s Reality TV Club Be?

Amy SaccoSex, drugs, and a little bit of rock and roll always have the making for good reality TV.  And as one would guess, club dominatrix Amy Sacco is apparently working on a Bravo series that will chronicle among other things the opening of a new yet to be named club in New York.  This apparent club’s location is also yet to be named.  So where will it be?  Will it saddle up to the new emerging corner of 17th and 10th that is home to Avenue and 1 Oak?  We will be keeping our ear to the ground for this one. Eavesdropping Is What Guests Do Best…

  • Trouble for one of the (one-time?) pillars of NYC’s nightlife community, as questions arise about Amy Sacco’s cash flow [Gawker]
  • If you’re looking for a job that pays for doing absolutely nothing, then you just might want to become a NYC teacher. Educators who misbehave are sent to a “rubber room” where they can do yoga, paint, and just relax. Oh, and they’re paid $70,000/year. [MSNBC]

The Grand Opening Of The Griffin Nightclub

[Photos by BILLY FARRELL for PMc]

Last night, the city was a buzz with parties (St.Jude’s Gala, Cartier 100th, movie premieres and more), and eye candy galore.  However, the party of the week belongs to the Griffin opening night. Kate Hudson and Sting were just some of the big names to grace the newly opened club which we have had our eyes on all month.
