Last night, socials packed The Brixton, a new bar on U Street, for an interactive evening with the new Samsung Galaxy Note. Guests were let in to the invite-only affair by two young ladies operating the guest list the new Galaxy Notes, and photos taken by Galaxy Notes were displayed on a large screen on the roof deck of The Brixton, with an option to print photos out at the party. Guests also had their handwriting analyzed and their portraits sketched by professionals operating Galaxy Notes. More»

Last night was the grand re-opening of the historic Howard Theatre, which marked the theatre's 101st birthday. The venue has hosted legendary black musicians like Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and The Supremes throughout its history. More»
