Behnaz Sarafpour, Tory Burch, Victor Demarchelier, Fern Mallis and Cornelia Guest showed to see the pop icon’s presence throughout the magazine in the 50’s and 60’s. This exhibit glimpse came as a new book about the artist, “Pop: The Genius of Andy Warhol,” celebrated its launch, downtown. More»

Last night the New York Academy of Art held its 18th annual Take Home a Nude art auction and party at Sotheby’s. While we were chatting with society photog Patrick McMullan, he made the bold statement that the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel was the biggest opening since Studio 54. After considering it, he might be right (the man’s definitely an authority, having been to both). Just sitting in Andre Balazs’s new spot, you can feel the scene. There’s a certain energy in the air. Vanity Fair and Bob Colacello celebrated the arrival of the BMW Art Car World Tour with a free public art installation at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal with BMWs redesigned by Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein, who currently has an exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue. New York City socialites, art patrons, and BMW fans stopped in to check out the glamorous car show including Patrick McMullan, Kipton Cronkite, Vogue Senior-Editor Alexandra Kotur, and Andrew Saffir. All the cool kids were at the New Museum last night for Andy Warhol’s 80th Birthday Party. While there, guests got a chance to become Warhol’s mass-produced consumer products ala Marilyn Monroe. Besides these three above, other guests at the party included:
