Last night the music industry invaded Vegas for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. While the event celebrated pop music's top artists and their achievements, we'd like to shift the focus to what really matters and discuss the outfits. As with all music industry events, a look at what people wore might have you wondering if some thought it was a competition in who could look most ridiculous. Fortunately, there were several who rose to the occasion with their sartorial choices as they hit the blue carpet, so check out the best of the night in these top eight looks from the Billboard Music Awards. Oh, sweet merciful lord, let us rejoice. At long last, this year's awards season has ended with last night's 85th Annual Academy Awards officially over. We'll be bringing you updates on how the entertainment industry celebrated with star-studded parties and events all weekend across L.A., but first we must discuss the most pressing issue of the weekend: what people wore to the awards show. Though we were a bit underwhelmed by the overall showing in the fashion department for Hollywood's biggest night, there were certainly some knockouts that made us coo. So sit back and join us now as we bring you our top 15 looks from the 2013 Oscars red carpet.

It's Oscar season, which means that we'll get to see some of our favorite couture pieces on the red carpet. We love seeing how our favorite celebrities (and their stylists) put their own spin on the gowns. Mark your calendars, because red carpet coverage starts at 5:30 this Sunday.

It's a well-known fact that January is by far the most depressing month of the year. Some have even gone as far as dubbing the third Monday of the month as "Blue Monday." Luckily, there are a number of events going on around the world in the next few weeks to help distract you from those inevitable blues, and we can't think of a better way to cure winter depression than to get up and go. From the happenings at Sundance and Paris Fashion Week to the annual DLD (Digital-Life-Design) conference, there's something for everyone, no matter where your interests lie. So, click through for the full breakdown of where in the world you should be right now. If you can't manage to get away, then make sure you're living vicariously through our events coverage. More»

Last night, the much anticipated blockbuster The Hunger Games premiered downtown at L.A. Live's Nokia Theatre. Adapted from a series of young adult books that I really couldn't tell you the first thing about with a gun to my head, this is apparently a very big deal as the red carpet premiere drew fans who'd camped outside the theater for days. Although I'll probably die having never seen this movie or caring that it existed, the red carpet looks at last night's premiere do matter to me, especially since there were more than a few surprisingly stellar fashion moments (hi, Miley Cyrus) that occurred. There were also a few unfortunate flops, but that's to be expected. So without further ado, here are the highs and lows in red carpet looks at The Hunger Games premiere... More»

Congratulations everyone, we have made it though another awards season in one piece and can begin the healing process. I'd just like to say kudos to Billy Crystal for keeping last night's ceremony moving and doing his best to make it as painless as one can for the invariably boring ordeal. Last night's winners were somewhat expected and, frankly, I really don't think I could care less. So let's get to the part that actually matters: what everyone wore. Without further ado, we bring you our picks for the best and worst dressed of the red carpet at the 2012 Oscars. More»

The most highly anticipated Red Carpet event of the year, the 84th Annual Academy Awards did not disappoint. From bold color to metallics, bright white and mint - the stars were dressed in some of the season's hottest trends. If you've been paying attention, we at GofG L.A. have made our fascination with Lana Del Rey over the last month well known to the universe. And while many are scratching their heads trying to figure out what this Lana Del Rey character's deal is, the arbiters of chic at Vogue have welcomed her with open arms, giving her the cover of Vogue UK's March issue. Meanwhile, Vogue Japan Editor-at-large and generally fabulous creature Anna Dello Russo has caught LDR fever as showcased by a project on her personal blog where she's found a pretty hilarious way to work Lana into her favorite looks from the spring 2012 couture runways. Here's the result of this adventure in LDR x ADR... More»

As veteran readers will surely note, Guest Of A Guest New York already published a review of Golden Globes fashion. But I feel the hometown of the award show's voice should be heard too on this pressing issue.

See, while NYC was only able to watch the red carpet procession on television, giving  a distorted impression of the stars and outfits, we were there.  Thanks to some fine work by the special effects and makeup wizards at Weta, that's actually me standing over Olivia Wilde's right shoulder. More»

Social Network may have nabbed four Golden Globe awards, but big deal. Everyone knows it's all about the fashion. Green dominated, several stars showed off one shoulder, and one star dressed like a crazy bag lady. Take a look at the best, the worst, and the biggest trends of the night! More»
