Earlier last year, the Huffington Post published on their website that The New School has the best dressed students. Since then, not very much has changed. While taking a stroll through the West Village campus, we ran into some innovative students and teachers who broke down their ensembles to us -- in summary, it's all about vintage and thrift stores for these liberal-arts fashionistas.

Saturday night at the Corcoran was the scene of this year’s Artini, held by the 1869 Society to benefit local charity ArtReach. Eleven top local mixologists showed up to put their creativity to the test with their most inventive cocktail. The only thing that can drag my attention away from a perfectly crafted cocktail would be a perfectly crafted outfit, of which there were an astonishing number on Saturday night.

The creative cocktail theme was not only evident in the libations but also the patrons. Like only a few cocktails making the cut for Artini, I had trouble narrowing down my ten favorite picks of the night.

You guys might want to sit down, because I'm about to tell you something that will shock you to your core: our celebrities occasionally spend too much money. OK, fine, maybe that wasn't that surprising to you. But then again, maybe you're not shocked because you're not really aware of just how deeply wasteful, indulgent or outright insane this splurging can be.
