The top two headliners for the 2013 Governors Ball have been released, and it's the most impressive lineup to date. Kanye West and Kings of Leon top the bill, appearing alongside a third artist yet to be announced. Kanye will be performing his first solo show in NYC since 2008, and it'll be Kings of Leon's first show in the city since 2010. We did some investigating of our own, and we think we've figured out the third headliner. Check out who our money is on below! More»
We know that L.A. starts to feel like a ghost town on a holiday weekend, but with a Goldenvoice-revamped 2-day FYF Fest kicking off on Saturday, the smartest kids might be the ones staying in town for Labor Day. And even if you're staying home to save dough, you deserve to see M83, Sleigh Bells, Dinosaur Jr. and the like just as much as anyone. Luckily for you, we've teamed up with our friends at Chilli Beans Sunglasses and Goldenvoice to give you a shot to win tickets, including a VIP prize package including free Chilli Beans sunglasses! Read on to find out how to enter today. More»
We've long been fans of the FYF Fest, dating back to the days when the alternative and indie rock themed festival had less corporate sponsorship to worry about and cheerfully printed the "F**k Yeah!" now implied in the name on their official tickets and banners. While we're general supporters of open profanity, the perfectly acceptable tradeoff in recent years has been the rapid expansion and improvement of the lineup, which last year featured beloved acts like Guided By Voices. But FYF organizers (which include co-sponsors like Goldenvoice) are clearly not yet satisfied, and they've proven it with an M83-led 2012 lineup, just announced this morning, that we feel safe saying is the best yet. All the details after the jump! More»
Coachella. Two weekends chock full of absolutely awesome music, non-stop partying, and a desert. Does anyone even remember what happened over this first weekend? Yeah, we don't either -- but don't fret, we've rounded up some of the photos you guys uploaded to your Instagram to remind you (wink). From the performances like Florence and the Machine, to celeb spottings like Lindsay Lohan, fashion mishaps (manks, anyone?), and partying galore, check out photos of what happened over the weekend in Palm Springs! In a sense, the third and final day of Coachella is the trickiest for both the schedulers and the festival-goers themselves. With two straight days of desert heat, nonstop music, killer parties, and whatever, um, extracurricular activities you may be getting into under the belt, it may feel like a challenge to maintain a third full of day of music. But Goldenvoice isn't exactly going easy on us with the Day 3 lineup this year, having put together a collection of highly energetic, much anticipated acts that will challenge you to get your weight up for one last day and make the most of your time in the desert.
