Every year there are those costumes that you can't seem to escape on All Hallows Eve. Last year we saw far too many Sarah Palin's, Waldo's, and Lady Gaga's to count. Which costumes made the list this year?

By now we're all at least vaguely familiar with this lucky Frenchman and his forehead. We've seen him dance in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, impregnate Natalie Portman, and bare his chest for Details. Today we see a unique recycling of yesterday's clubs on Bowery, a new watering hole opens for those post-grad rascals out in Brooklyn, drunk texts you should never send, and Magnolia Bakery has hot ballerinas on its mind! Kate and Laura MulleavyIf you do fashion, you go to NYC, and if you do entertainment, you go to L.A. That's the general rule of thumb should you decide to pursue a career in either of those industries. L.A., you know I'm yours, but I feel like I'm perpetuating a really bad, embarrassing lie when I call it "LA Fashion Week." Maybe "LA Fashion Appreciation Week" or even "Fashion Awareness Week" would be more appropriate, but suggesting it's among the ranks of NYFW is borderline crazy. As we all know, this Sunday marks the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, or as it's known to advertising executives, the Gay Superbowl. Ostensibly the crown jewel of the Hollywood awards season, the Oscars honor excellence in film, bestowing accolades on only the most important, revered and timeless movies, and Shakespeare In Love. And while the laundry list of Oscar mistakes is already a sizable one (hey, Al Pacino, can I get a "HOO-AH?"), there's no reason why the incestuous, petulant, self-important Academy can't etch a few more clunkers for us to mock for all time.
