Just in time for spring and its much-hyped Ballroom reopening, The Jane Hotel is now offering complimentary black Urban beach cruisers to all guests. Patrons can hop on a bike, peddle on over to the West Side Highway, and if they close their eyes and feel the breeze on their faces (while managing to avoid the traffic/dumpsters/Hudson River), it's almost, almost like being on the strand in Malibu. Spring may have technically started weeks ago, but this Saturday, it was the first day of Spring for many New Yorkers.  We stopped by the Blessing of the Bikes festival in Harlem as well as Central Park to check up on how New Yorkers were spending the day.

It's finally bike weather, and I for one, am ecstatic.  And, I just received word that this Saturday, the 11th Annual Blessing of the Bikes is taking place at The Cathedral Church of St. John on 112th street.  The Reverend Thom will say some kind words and then sprinkle our bikes with Holy Water? WHAT?!
