As the unrelenting beast known as awards season rolls on, last night's 2013 Writers Guild of America, West Writers Guild Awards honored those responsible for creating the memorable roles that make movie and TV stars. Hosted at the JW Marriot at L.A. LIVE, familiar faces such as Amy Poehler, Jessica Chastain, Francis Ford Coppola, Aubrey Plaza and many more stepped out to celebrate these forces behind the camera. Among the night's winners were Vince Gilligan for "Breaking Bad," Chris Terrio for Argo, "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner, and Mark Boal for Zero Dark Thirty. As we see with events like the city-wide celebration of Bastille Day in Paris and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC, certain cities take specific holidays that hold a special significance to their respective culture and community very seriously. For West Hollywood, it's Halloween. The annual West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval once again returned Wednesday evening, shutting down the area for an enormous block party that drew thousands out to the streets in costumes. As expected, those who dressed up for the WeHo festivities took their looks to the next level with some of the best costumes we've seen yet. From the uncanny Obama, Honey Boo Boo Child and Tupac look a-likes to the straight up outrageous, revealing and otherwise noteworthy getups, here's a look at some of our favorite costumes of the 2012 West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval.
