Wrapping up summer 2011 is of course the prestigious Hampton Classic. Irene tried to ruin it for us this year, but the equestrian community is fearless, and kept their cool for a few days until both the tents
for the horses and vendors, and the power were back up and running. More»
They're handsome, fit, and tan. Plus, any man that's good with animals is a keeper. Whether you love the Hamptons Polo scene or loathed it, there's no denying it provides us with delicious eye candy each year. Check out our guide to this years hottest polo players out east. MORE>>>
[Photo via] Though Saturday polo was canceled this past weekend (thanks, Irene!), there is no reason why we can’t still spend some time contemplating about who the hottest polo player this summer. The sport is dominated by attractive foreign men - and after this past weekend, I think we could all enjoy a little bit of eye candy. Either on the field or sitting on a bale of hay drinking “mate” (traditional Argentine tea like caffeine boost), these handsome athletes are hard to miss.
Did you know....that Polo is a Persian game? Or that Prince Charles met his mistress at a Polo match? Well, now you do. And there's more where that came from! More»

Our days of stomping divots, drooling over Nacho Figueras, VIP tents, celebrity sightings, and absurd on-field feuds have officially come to an end. Niche Media along with Microsoft Bing hosted Closing Day of the Mercedes Benz Polo Challenge on the Blue Star Jet Field as Hamptonites including Russell Simmons, Serena Altschul, Bethenny Frankel, Barron Hilton, Haley and Jason Binn, and many more cheered on the players, sipped cocktails beneath the tents, and celebrated the end of the season.

Not only does this Saturday mark the end of sipping cocktails underneath the tents on the Blue Star Jets field but also a sad, sad day for every girl across the East End as Nacho's last match during the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge is approaching. This means our days of "ooh-ing" and "ah-ing" over the polo playing stud will soon be behind us. Here's a look back at week five on the field with onlookers including Maximiliano Pacio, Brianna Swanson, Jasmin Rosemberg, and many more Check back next week for coverage of Bridgehampton Polo's closing day. Katie Lee Joel hosted Evian's Last Taste of Polo and gave away signed cookbooks to Nacho Figueras and his wife, food from Mr.Chow, Four Seasons, Surf Lodge, and Bagatelle, and a visit from Hugh Grant with his new girlfriend Catherine Fulmer. He actually bought her and a few other girls shots of Milagro and was so sweet.
Other notable guests included Beth Ostrosky, Brittny Gastineau, and Sam Talbot.

We bid a fond farewell to the Hamptons 2008 at Evian's Taste of Polo on Sunday, at the beautiful Water Mill home of Michael Borrico. Katie Lee Joel hosted and gave away signed cookbooks to guests, including Nacho Figueras and his wife Delphine, Hugh Grant with his new girlfriend Catherine Fulmer, Beth Ostrosky, Morris and Jaci Reid, Brittny Gastineau, Devorah Rose and Sam Talbot. The crowd was treated to a demonstration polo match The scrumptious food was provided by Mr.Chow, Four Seasons, Surf Lodge, and Bagatelle.

Although urban legend has it that the bevy of Hamptons/Manhattan socials who attend Bridgehampton Polo don’t really eat (which is how they look as good as they do), such was not the case last Saturday. James Beard Award Nominee, Chef Doug Rodriguez prepared a delectable spread of food to “snack on” throughout the matches and I observed some notables going back for 3rds and 4ths! Game 5 of Polo was appropriately sponsored by Perrier-Jouët, which certainly helped to wash down the gourmet grub.
The crowd was impeccable on Saturday and I got a chance to catch up with Nascar’s Tim George Jr, trade fashion tips with Katrina Peebles, and muse over weekend plans with Social Life’s Devorah Rose. Then there was Teddy John, Brianna Swanson, Becca Marcus, Emily Brill, Ariel Moses, Stephanie Wei, Adriel Reboh, Clint Spaulding, Tamie Peters Thomas, Rich Thomas and on and on and on…I walked by David Lauren and Lauren Bush and wished they’d call me over to say hi (they would actually have to know me to do that); all while managing to keep a safe distance from Michael Lohan – this year’s unofficial Polo Mascot (as deemed by me).
