Last Thursday, some unresolved financial requests prompted their CEO Jerry Powers, who had been with Plum since November, to resign. During a big conference call the ex-CEO asked the board of directors for about $300,000 to pay outstanding bills of "payroll, sales commission and free-lance writer" costs, according to Gatecrasher. What a hurricane! Many Hamptons locals might not believe you if you told them there is a premiere automotive storage facility in Bridgehampton. A museum-like garage holding some of the most expensive and unique collector cars to exist couldn't be around the corner, right? But The Bridgehampton Motoring Club (BMC) has been an active storage car business for 10 years, accepting members based off their cars' collectibility -- and now, with a new guy in charge, the space wants to throw parties. Last Friday night launched the Soledad O'Brien and Brad Raymond Foundation, a charity that provides scholarships to young women, in Bridgehampton for a jazz-themed night of fun. Guests included Star Jones, Russell Simmons with actress Melissa George, jazz stars Kirk Frankin and Ron Carter, and event chairs Cicely Tyson and Pharrell Williams.

I'm going to be honest with you guys. I love accents. I love hearing them, I love talking with one, I love making fun of them and I am hopelessly attracted to them. So when I came across this video of a tall, gangly European (also known to many as the fashion reporter, The Facehunter) who spent his Fourth of July weekend in Montauk, I struck accent gold.
