Last night in NYC, the Collective Design Fair held a preview at Pier 57 for VIP guests, Lady Gaga and boyfriend Taylor Kinney attended "The Great Gatsby" screening, Saks Fifth Avenue and W Magazine honored Haider Ackermann with a private dinner, Michael Douglas and Ivanka Trump celebrated the launch of Jean Pigozzi's new swimwear collection, Limoland, and so much more!

In preparation for the May 10th release of The Great Gatsby, New York has been going all-out to bring the 1920's spirit to life. From clothing collections, to drink specials, to events and parties, the city is bringing the glitz and glamour of the Prohibition era back, and we've rounded up a few ways that you can get in on the fun. Click through for a list of places you can check out to get into the Fitzgerald spirit.

We are not sure if it's the suspense from the delay of the release date or the technicolor trailer Warner Bros. just released, but we just cannot wait until The Great Gatsby hits theaters on May 10th. We may even have to head over to France to catch a second screening of it at the equally luxe Cannes Film Festival. Here are 10 reasons why we're waiting on the edge of our seats for Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby to come out, including feasting our eyes on Leonardo DiCaprio looking dashing as 1920s millionaire Jay Gatsby.

Male fashion bloggers like The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton, and Karl Edwin Guerre have brought about a renaissance in men's ready-to-wear fashion. Guys are embracing the art of dressing well and with purpose. There are a slew of newcomers starting boutiques carrying their own in-house labels and rare designer items that are hard to find in the US. Classic brands like Brooks Brothers and J. Crew are also seeing the value in a specialized, Downtown location for men who are more interested in individual, made-to-measure style. Click through to see our top picks for Downtown menswear boutiques. Whether his style is preppy or urban, surprise the dapper gentleman in your life with something special from one of these shops.

Last night, the Capital Club held their 20th annual Sinatra Soirée at the National Building Museum. Dashing guys and dolls twirled around to a big band blasting nostalgic tunes decked out in the evening's dress code, a mix of “Summer Ahoy” and “Strong Cocktail.”

After spending the evening perusing the partygoers, I could have used a strong cocktail with all the handsome men and lovely ladies mixing and mingling.

Grab a cocktail, turn on a Sinatra tune and enjoy my top 10 best dressed from Sinatra Soiree, who looked dashing just the way they looked last night.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall: who's the chicest of them all? Better ask sartorial expert Iké Udé, the author of Style File and one of Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed Originals.

Udé's latest project, the CHIC INDEX, profiles New York's most stylish denizens through series of twelve-act portraits, which showcase their range of signature looks. Geoffrey Bradfield, Somers Farkas, Robert Verdi, Pat Cleveland, and Patrick McDonald are among the notables chosen thus far, as well as this week's guest, philanthropist Jean Shafiroff.

We spoke with Iké Udé about what it means to be chic in New York, and the artist shared with us his favorite designers, a list of fashion faux pas, and the major differences between "style" and "fashion." More»
