I always knew that St. Patrick's Day meant different things to different people, but I just kind of figured that meant that some people liked Jameson more than Bushmills, or maybe that you stuck to beer in the early afternoon if you had some place to go at night. I didn't really figure it meant attending a massive rave in San Bernardino and seeing Steve Aoki do a show with a special appearance by Travis Barker. Yesterday, Fader Fort sponsored by Converse kicked off their SXSW schedule with live performances by Troy Noka, White Arrows, Django Django, Young L, Friends, Oberhofer, Santigold, Danny Brown, and with DJ sets Jazz One, Nick Catchdubs, and Nguzunguzu. 2 Chainz was supposed to play, but was found shopping for Converse in the VIP section, and apparently didn't know he was supposed to play a set. But if you scored an invite to the penthouse of the Roosevelt for Modular + Puma's Pre Grammy Party, let's hope you ditched whatever else you had going on.
