[Social Life Magazine gift bag] The recession seemingly holds no strength towards the East End social calendar as parties and events keep adding up as the summer moves on. I'm more concerned about this pink confetti outfit choice on the left than anything else to be quite honest. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a joke (in which case I guess it's okay), or if this gal really wears shit like this on the weekends. It looks similar to my birthday outfit I wore in 3rd grade to the local rollar skating rink, except shorter and more sparkly.

Yes. He finally made it to Pink Elephant. His summer is complete. Labor day weekend saw the clubs in full force out east. Hundreds were packing in all over the east end to get their moves on for the last "real" weekend to party of the summer. Friday night was rockin', but it was just a warm up....stay tuned.

I chatted it up with THE Rob Rich at Surf Lodge in Montauk this past Sunday night and THIS photo came up in conversation. I was delighted (and a little bit disgusted) when I saw it for myself. Sometimes getting caught by Rob Rich's camera's is a good thing, and sometimes it's not. I think we can all agree this falls in the latter camp.

Pink Elephant may have gone bankrupt down in Chelsea, but it was celebration as usual out east at Capri. Did you ever wonder who the confetti-god was that is responsible for the thousands of pink slips and glitter that magically start appearing as you are dancing to Jay-Z at Pink Elephant? Thankfully, we have the photo evidence of the source. Mystery solved. The explanations for the behavior that happens underneath said confetti...I'm not sure that is ever going to be solved.

This.guy.rocks. I am seriously in love with this picture...it may be my favorite of the summer. This guy is the kind of guy that spends 99% of his summer nights in the Hamptons relaxing over his grill where he is manning the operation for his pool-side friends. The ONE time he gets dragged to Pink he decides to go with it and get down with his bad self, instead of complaining. Don't believe me? Look at exhibit b in the photo below:

This Saturday, one of our favorite charities, L.W.A.L.A. (Living With A Lifelong Ambition), Belvedere, Unruly Heir, and Jordana Spiro hosted "An Intimate Evening Affair" at Pink Elephant, Capri in Southampton. We are sorry we missed out, as it looks like after 11:00, the real party began in full-on-Pink-Elephant fashion. If Mr. Pink Elephant didn"t keep everyone happy, DJ Doug Grayson sure did.
