This supermodel turned environmental role model is campaigning with CIRCA -- the largest global buyer of diamonds, jewelry, and watches from the public -- to expose the dangers of the mining industry, and the power shoppers have to save the planet.

"I've always been environmentally conscious," said Ms. Webb "I've always recycled and bought organic... But I never thought of jewelry being sustainable until my kids started going to school, and started asking questions [about mining]...  I knew I had to learn more." More»

At the beginning of every month out east there are two things I look forward to: The new release of Social Life Magazine AND the Issue Release Party at the Social Life Estate in Watermill. The two go together better than peanut butter and jelly. Early August was no exception as the east end jet-setters pulled themselves away from the BH Polo matches to get ready to celebrate Polo player Chris Del Gatto’s Social Life Cover at the SL Estate.

This is the one party that you always have to get to on time or you won’t be getting in. OR, you might get in but you have to worry whether your Porsche out front is getting towed. By the time I left I watched the angry cops taking pleasure in towing luxurious cars like the blue Porsche convertible that was parked next to the driveway. Ironically, the cops were not toying with the Hondas or Fords. Clearly some selective animosity there!
