Sho Shaun Hergatt, Le Bernardin, landmarc and Maialino were only a few of the Sam Sifton approved boites indulging foodies out to support City Harvest, the food rescue organization that feeds over a quarter million New Yorkers each year with food that would otherwise be thrown away. We're not quite sure if you could call us a fan of all things denim, but we definitely do find much of it intriguing. Like the "Canadian Tuxedo", for instance, or the all-jean bikini we found especially for denim lovers (the "jikini"?). Apparently, Bethenny Frankel of the Real Housewives of New York fame falls into this category, as she came out to Super Saturday wearing a mini dark denim romper. The 7 For All Mankind jean one-sie from their Spring 2007 line is a throwback to her television days - she wore the same one on an episode of the show. We're glad to see the Naturally Thin author is thinking recession friendly. On this particularly hot and sunny day, Bethenny tops her ensemble with a red floppy hat. This year, Generation Harvest, City Harvest's young professionals group, hosted the Summer In The City fundraiser at the Metropolitan Pavillion. The event featured tastings and a cocktail party, with food and drinks provided by some of New York's best chefs and cocktail artists. The food at this years event covered a wide range of cooking genres including BBQ, cuban, american, japanese, southwestern, french, and an assortment of sweeties. More»
