Oregon: sparkling gem of the Pacific Northwest! Known for untouched natural beauty, friendly residents, and of course, college football. Yes, they take their football seriously up in Eugene, which means that the Ducks faithful were well represented at Rose Bowl, both in the stadium, the parking lot, and (in the case of Oregon alum and "Modern Family" star Ty Burrell) the sidelines. Happy New Year, everybody! While we trust that you all enjoyed the later hours of December 31st in your own special ways, it's a reasonable guess that after all the champagne, caffeine and celebration, most of us spent some time on Sunday or Monday passed out in front of a football game. Unless, of course, you were one of the lucky superfans able to rally yourself to Pasadena, where the Wisconsin Badgers took on the Oregon Ducks in a Rose Bowl battle of places that make cheddar cheese. Brannen Blazer and Joe Gaither are raising money for their marathon run in Berlin for "Team for Kids," a charity that fights childhood obesity. This Saturday afternoon, they're hosting an all-day football fest at Mason Inn starting at 1 p.m.
