The radical kids came out in full force last night wearing their denim, leather, or no pants at all for a rage of epic proportions presented by Goldenvoice and KXLU at the El Rey Theatre. Amping up the audience on stage were the out-of-control headliners The Black Lips, supported by local loves Beach Party and psychedelic Seattleites known as Night Beats.

If you've been paying attention, you noticed that we've been jibing with electro artists lately. Last week we gave away some sweet Tiësto tickets (and Flosstradamus ones for good measure). Last night, English folk-rockers Mumford and Sons played the first of their two sold out shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The band didn't disappoint, playing all of their hit songs and surprising the audience with a few set changes along the way. Billboard Touring and Conference Awards announced yesterday in New York City that 9:30 Club won their "Top Club" Award (based on attendance). This will be the 4th year in a row that the venue has won this award, and the 5th time overall. More»

"We didn't think it would happen to us." What started as just another sleepy Sunday evening in Santa Monica turned Euro-perilous when Swedish house sensation Avicii unst-unst-unsted his way into the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium for his third and final show of the weekend. Avicii, AKA 23-year-old Tim Bergling, crossed over from EDM super-stardom into the mainstream with "Le7els" (some of you know may know it as the sample from that Flo Rida song). MORE>>

Montauk's locally owned Whalebone Creative and the popular nightlife website The Jumpoff.com invited  Rapper Mickey Avalon out to Montauk this weekend. His sweaty performance, along with Chanel West Coast's, kicked off the grand opening of The Washout, a new bar in town. More»
