While most people were cozied up indoors avoiding the winter chill, hoards of characters (ranging from the brave to the bizarre) made their way out to Coney Island for the annual Polar Bear Plunge. An eclectic group gathered to rush into the water, some bringing their families and dogs as witnesses to this strange yet intriguing event.
