[Tiger Woods at the 10th hole yesterday]
Washingtonians have been coming up with some wild excuses to get out of work and attend the AT&T National Golf Tournament at Congressional Country Club, which started yesterday and ends tomorrow. With a purse of $6.5 million, the stakes are high, but highest for Tiger Woods, who is still overcoming "that incident" and is the host of the tour.
The AT&T National is one of only five tournaments given "invitational" status by the PGA Tour. It returns to Congressional after a two-year break at Aronimink Golf Club. More»
