The Marc and GaGa party wasn’t the only place at which all the cool kids ended up last night. Kirsten Dunst, Bjork, and Dree Hemingway were all at AnOther Magazine Dinner at the Jane followed by an afterparty co-hosted by Dazed & Confused and Georgia May Jagger. Models, editors, photographers, other fashion types, as well as some rocker progeny (Frances Bean Cobain) were actually seen tearing it up (gasp) on the dance floor as Paul Sevigny spun.

Getting your sh-t together for Fashion Week seems like an impossible task if you’re a designer, so we are giving Alexander Wang an A+ not only for turning out some amazing pieces, but also putting on what might be the best afterparty, yet. At a Mobil gas station on 15th and 10th, it went beyond recession chic to really bring back that all-too-rare totally downtown cool. Mischa Barton, Kirsten Dunst, Jared Leto, Devon Aoki, Erin Wasson, and Zev Norotsky joined the designer to watch performances by Courtney Love and Santogold. Kristian Laliberte chugged Veuve from the bottle (hopefully his own), and there were burgers and fries to round out the ghetto glam. More»

While ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell was busy practicing her royal wave in the Summer sun, celebrities elsewhere were being far less productive. Mischa Barton was chain-smoking in the West Village, K-Fed was strolling through Miami, Aiden Gillen was riding a bike in London, Amber Valletta was on Wall Street and Courtney Love was wolfing down pastries. By most accounts, guitar documentary It Might Get Loud looks like a really sweet flick. Directed by Davis Guggenheim of An Inconvient Truth, the picture throws together three of rock’s greatest guitarists: Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, U2’s The Edge, and The White Stripes’ Jack White. Variety called it “musically and visually sumptuous… a three-headed, amped-up, guitar-shredding slamdown powered by a pan-generational trio of rock gods.” But why did some attendees fail so terribly at getting dressed up for last night’s screening?
