Yesterday, Kate and Andy Spade hosted an opening reception for Martha Stewart Weddings editorial director Darcy Miller Nussbaum’s “Family” show. Cynthia Rowley, Kelly Bensimon, Dylan Lauren and the homemaker royalty herself, Martha Stewart, headed to Mr. Spade’s Great Jones Street store for the invitation only event, where women in wedding dresses walked among collected items documenting the creative’s memories of kin. Hosted by actress and New York socialite Allison Sarofim and producer Stuart Parr, the party was held at a private residence in the city. Starring Tilda Swinton, the film tracks the life of a 40-year old violent alcoholic. While the alcohol was flowing last night, the atmosphere was far from violent - partiers included British It girl and model Agyness Deyn, Adam Lippes, designers Cynthia Rowley and Rachel Roy, Mickey Boardman, Elise Overland, Jessica Joffe, Marjorie Gubbelmann, Bonnie Morrison and a few guests who were too cool for last names even - it must be the latest thing in hipster chic.
