The big guy up North isn't the only one making a list and checking it twice. We've been curating a well thought-out wish list to give to our nearest and dearest when they come inquiring about holiday gifts. Composing up much of this list are pieces from amazing designer collabs. With big names like L'Wrenn Scott, Alexandra McQueen and Preen on the list, the pieces are covetable and hopefully will be wrapped and in our hands soon enough!
Ah, the holidays—'tis the season for sparkles, soirees, and plenty of (spiked) cider. And while we always feel particularly selfless during this time of year, sometimes we just can't resist a brief personal plea to the big man up North. Sure, our thoughts of sold-out Furbies have long since been replaced, but it seems we're still finding ourselves on the "nice" list since Santa's appealed to all of our style wishes. Thanks to a little holiday spirit, some of our favorite brands and designers have teamed up for limited edition collections, just in time for glittering tree-lightings and get-togethers, not to mention romantic stops under the mistletoe. So make your list and check it twice, then treat yourself to something nice! More»

Much has been made over the timing of the events. Is the Brucennial, which features artwork from over 376 artists ranging from college students to Damien Hirst, making some sort of challenge to the Whitney, a carefully tailored selection of at least 50 established artists? This writer attended both, and here's how the events and crowds compared. More»
