Last night Le Fooding held a preview dinner at the Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn. Enjoying the fall evening weather, diners including Daniel Boulud, David Chang, Katie Lee (Joel?) and Waris Ahluwalia delighted in some lighthearted whimsy, donning balloon hats at they tasted octopus, tarte flambe, greens and an entree choice of country chop or trout. Guests sampled food from Restaurant Week participants DB Bistro Moderne, Spice Market, Bice Ristorante, Porter House, and Tribeca Grill, while enjoying a live performance from the cast of Hair, who reminded us that, no matter how hard we try to move on, it will always be the Age of Aquarius. Kristin Davis was honorary chair of St. Judes’ Chocolat au Vin this past Thursday during an evening at Capitale, NY consisting of “dancing, desserts and dreams” along with a special performance by Tony Bennett. The menu was prepared by chef Daniel Boulud. Several of the guests in attendance were Gossip Girl’s Connor Paolo, Steve Guttenberg, Cuba Gooding Sr., Sport’s Illustrated Model Jessica Hart, Eric Trump, Jamie Lunar, Rebecca Minkoff, Sanna Lathan and Omar Gooding. All proceeds from the event went to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
