Last night, Marc Jacobs and Daphne Guinness hosted a party in honor of NARS Cosmetic’s 15th anniversary, which coincides with the publication of Francois Nars’ newest book, “15 x 15″, a collection of photographs taken by the make-up mogul himself. Jacobs and Guinness both appear in the book, along with Olivier Theyskens and Amanda Lepore, who both attended the event. More»

Last night, the hottest room in the city played host to its hottest guests. The Boom Boom Room was booming last night. It was (yet another) celebration of the DVD release of VALENTINO: The Last Emperor, but let’s be honest, it was really just a chance to dance next to Madonna. Hosted by Giancarlo Giammetti, Director Matthew Tyrnauer, and Jesus Luz, it was the party to see and be seen at. Read who stopped by below… More»
[All photos by BILLY FARRELL for PMc]. Yesterday, Shiseido and RxArt joined forces for an evening at Industria Studios. Guests Derek Blasberg, Daphne Guinness, Victoria Traina, Lauren Remington Platt, Vanessa Weiner von Bismarck, Annie Churchill Albert, Lazaro Hernandez, Lauren Santo Domingo and Happy Massee sipped, nibbled and browsed skin care products while witnessing the much anticipated unveiling of Yayoi Kusama’s new puzzle made just for the not-for-profit. [All photos by NEIL RASMUS and PATRICK McMULLAN for PMc]. Patrick McMullan called it the biggest opening since Studio 54, and no wonder: Madonna, Courtney Love, Jude Law, Jon Bon Jovi, Lindsay Lohan, Calvin Klein and Rachel Zoe are just a few…a few!…of the big names from the music, fashion, and entertainment industries that gathered at the Standard Hotel Saturday night for the much anticipated opening of the Boom Boom Room. [All photos by JIMI CELESTE for PMc]. Yesterday, we were unsure of the whereabouts of Daphne Guinness. Well, apparently your Fragrance launch is skippable but your movie premiere is not! The style icon hosted a private screening of her short film, Mnenosyne, last night at the Hudson Hotel Library. On-hand to celebrate were Hamish Bowles, Margherita Missoni, Genevieve Jones and Derek Blasberg, who were no doubt only too happy to attend a non-fashion related party before the onslaught begins…More photos below. A bunch of Guinnesses showed up at the London launch of Daphne Guinness‘ new fragrance, “Daphne“, including designer Lulu Guinness, but Daphne herself was oddly missing. The fragrance, which is co-produced by Comme Des Garcons, has a heart of tuberose, which she claims used to be eaten by pterodactyls, and who doesn’t want to smell like pterodactyl food? The fragrance is on sale through the Dover Street Market, and will be available worldwide on September 18th. Click below for more pictures of guests who actually showed up to the launch… More»

Heiress, designer, style icon, couture collector - Daphne Guinness holds many titles, and even though the “most stylish woman alive” has been around for decades (about four now), it seems as if those not en Vogue are just catching word of the badger-haired beauty. That’s right - you’re not seeing in black and white. The Brit’s hair is done up in streaks of black and white-blond, and has been for years. Her fashion trademark compliments her wardrobe of the black and white staples, recently worn out shopping in Soho (after the jump) with sky high platforms, a boyfriend blazer for the transitioning weather, and a Hermes bag. Congrats on walking in those things Daphne - and on the (aging) arm candy. More story and photos below… More»
