Fans of fashion celebrated their independence early this year at Samantha Thavasa , where Q Magazine and Tinsley Mortimer hosted a cocktail party in celebration of the holiday. Congregating amidst the Mortimer-designed purses were David Patrick Columbia, Susan Shin, Kristian Laliberte, Luigi Tadini, and Euan Rellie.

Want to know where Eliot Spitzer, Moby, Julia Stiles, Gayle King, Frederic Fekkai, Jacob Weisberg, David Patrick Columbia, Andre Balazs, and other REALLY RANDOM people watched the presidential address last night?  At the residence of Len & Emily Blavatnik uptown, on large screens, and with numerous speeches around their elite dinner tables. It was a celebration put on by The Atlantic Magazine and everyone was in great spirits, even Spitzer.
