On Friday night, DC's most charitable socialites came to the Corcoran Gallery of Art to support the charity, So Others Might Eat, at their 10th annual SOME JR Gala. As one of the top 10 events of the winter, the soiree lived up to its impressive reputation as attendees drank up and danced the night away. Whether you were lounging by the cheese platters or busting some moves to the live music, you couldn't miss these posh philanthropists in their fashionable frocks:

Last weekend, FreeFest 2012 brought music and fashion to the DC area. Walking around the grounds of the Merriweather Post Pavilion, we noticed lots of fun outfits of festival-goers.

Last night, Washingtonian Magazine feted their 15 "Style Setters" at SAX Lounge. Marc Adelman, Brandon Andrews, Erik Bruner-Yang, John Carlson, Christo Doyle, Jonathan Fain, Elizabeth Baker Keffer, Barbara Martin, Nayan Patel, Heather Podesta, Jayne Sandman, Sai Sankoh, Bob Schieffer, Anchyi Wei and our fashion columnist, Becca Thorsen, were picked by Washingtonian's Fashion Editor Kate Bennett, and were photographed in a posh photoshoot at The Howard Theatre for their September issue. Last night, we feted Guest of a Guest DC's most fashionable column, Becca's Picks, with a party at Alton Lane in Dupont Circle with Urban Chic. Guests enjoyed bites from Occasions Caterers with wine from Middleburg's Boxwood Winery while listening to music from DJ Esso. More»

Friday night was Cure By Design, a fashion show in the Atrium of the Ronald Reagan Building that benefited the American Cancer Society. Denigns by local designer Sondra Falk, Charlotte NC-based Luis Machicao, and NBC's Fashion Star Barbara Bates dressed the models, all of whom were cancer survivors. E! News' Giuliana Rancic delivered a taped a welcome video for guests, and WUSA9's Kristen Berset emceed the program after opening remarks from event founder and NYC-based fashion designer Alex Garfield. GQ put out a list the worst dressed cities in America, and we are nowhere to be seen. Perhaps the well tailored looks of the Obamas are helping us shed our "Hollywood for the ugly" reputation. Way to go, Washington! More»
